MUSEO DE SALAMANCA

The Museo de Salamanca is housed in the Palacio de los Doctores de la Reina, a fine 15th-century palace in the historic city of Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage city. The museum holds dual collections of fine arts and archaeology. The fine arts section features Flemish paintings, Spanish Golden Age works, goldsmithing, and decorative arts, while the archaeological galleries document the prehistoric, Celtiberian, and Roman occupation of the Salamanca region. Ethnological exhibits round out a collection that reflects the full cultural history of Castilla y Leon.
