MUSEO DE ZAMORA
The Museo de Zamora is situated in the Palacio del Cordon, a 16th-century palace in Zamora, Castilla y Leon. The museum's collections were formed largely from works rescued from convents and monasteries dissolved during the 19th-century ecclesiastical confiscations. It is divided into two main sections: archaeology, preserving pieces from prehistory to the early modern period; and fine arts, bringing together paintings and sculptures from the 14th to the 20th century. A dedicated gallery explores the history of the city of Zamora itself.
