MUSEO DEL CARLISMO

The Museo del Carlismo in Estella-Lizarra, Navarra, is installed in the Palacio del Gobernador, a building constructed between 1608 and 1613 whose careful restoration returned it to its original architectural splendour. The permanent exhibition traces the history of Carlism from its origins in the first third of the 19th century to 1977, with original historical and artistic objects including Carlist pretender uniforms, flags and standards, medals, coins, stamps, documents, weapons, and artworks. All activities are free of charge. The museum also houses a Documentation Centre and specialist library accessible to researchers.
