FUNDACIÓN HONTZA MUSEOA

Hontza Museoa is the natural sciences museum of the Duranguesado region, the first and only official, publicly open natural science museum in Bizkaia. Located in Mañaria (Basque Country, Spain), the museum holds over 47,000 specimens spanning botany, fungi, geology, paleontology, and zoology, including invertebrates and vertebrates from all five continents. It features permanent and rotating exhibitions, a specialized library with more than 3,000 books and journals, school programs, and accessible facilities for visitors with reduced mobility.
