CIUDAD ROMANA DE IRUÑA-VELEIA

Iruña-Veleia is one of the most important Roman archaeological sites in the Basque Country, located on a plateau above the river Zadorra in Álava. The site includes city walls, a forum, public buildings and domestic architecture, and is managed by the Diputación Foral de Álava as part of its archaeological heritage programme. Visitors can follow guided routes around the excavations; admission is free.
