Museo de Belenes

Located in the Andalusian town of Mollina, 65 kilometres from Málaga, the Museo Internacional de Arte Belenista is a unique cultural institution dedicated entirely to the art of nativity scene creation — belenismo. Bringing together more than 100 exceptional nativity scenes from around the world, the museum features over 2,000 exclusive figures within 5,000 square metres of exhibition space. Visitors discover nativity scenes set in unconventional contexts — a Victorian house, an Italian village, a ruined temple, a war-torn street — as well as intricate reproductions of celebrated Spanish landmarks such as the Alhambra of Granada, the Alcazaba of Almería, and the Roman Circus of Tarraco. Open year-round, the museum welcomes art lovers, historians, school groups, and families of all ages to discover this little-known but richly expressive art form.
