MUSEO ETNOGRÁFICO DO CEBREIRO

The Conxunto Etnográfico do Cebreiro is a unique ethnographic museum set in O Cebreiro, the gateway to Galicia on the French route of the Camino de Santiago. Comprising four traditional pallozas — oval-plan pre-Romanesque stone dwellings with thatched roofs where people and animals historically lived together — three are open to the public and recreate mountain life in the Lugo highlands. The site is adjacent to the 10th-century Sanctuary of Santa María do Cebreiro and is declared a Cultural Heritage Site.
