CALCOGRAFÍA NACIONAL
The Calcografía Nacional, part of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid, holds one of the world's most important collections of intaglio printing plates and prints, including the original copper plates of Goya's series Caprichos, Desastres de la Guerra, Tauromaquia and Disparates. The collection spans from 18th-century master engravers to a major contemporary print collection. The Calcografía also runs an active printing workshop, awards a National Print Prize, and presents temporary exhibitions of graphic art.
