MUSEO GEOMINERO. INSTITUTO GEOLÓGICO Y MINERO DE ESPAÑA

The Museo Geominero is a unit of the Instituto Geológico y Minero de España (IGME-CSIC) in Madrid, preserving and exhibiting important collections of minerals, rocks, and fossils from all Spanish regions. Dating back to 1849, the museum displays approximately 19,000 specimens across 1,370 m² of ornate period architecture, including over 6,000 minerals, 13,000 fossils, 100 rock samples, and 50 meteorites.
