The K.H.Renlund Museum, Roos House

The Roos House is a charming combination of art and Kokkola history. The permanent exhibition upstairs depicts the city’s prosperity in the nineteenth century. It also portrays the Roos family and patron Karl Herman Renlund and his collection from the Golden Age of Art. Well-known artists include Beda Stjernschantz, Magnus Enckell, Pekka Halonen and Elin Danielson-Gambogi, among others. Downstairs, visitors can find a piece of Kokkola in the museum shop which places emphasis on the local region. There is also a temporary exhibition room with alternating exhibitions of the latest contemporary art and collection art.
