J. L. Runeberg´s home

J.L. Runeberg's Home Museum in Porvoo, Finland, is the original house of Finland's national poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg (1804–1877) and his wife Fredrika (1807–1879). The museum offers an intimate glimpse into an 1860s author's home, filled with the Runeberg family's original furniture, artworks, tableware, and even old houseplants grown from cuttings of Fredrika's plants. The carefully restored garden can be visited during summer. Runeberg is celebrated as the author of Finland's national anthem, and the museum preserves his remarkable cultural legacy.
