The museum Ett Hem

A charming merchant home from the 1900's, right in the Turku historical quarter. The house museum of consul Alfred Jacobsson and Mrs. Hélène Jacobsson from the turn of the 20th century. The museum Ett Hem is a house museum donated to the Åbo Akademi University Foundation by consul Alfred Jacobsson and his wife Hélène. The museum was opened to the public in 1932 in the original building on Hämeenkatu. Since 1965 the museum has operated in the current building on Piispankatu. The museum displays collections of art, objects and furniture collected by the couple.
