Fundação Museu Antropológico Caldas Junior

The Fundação Museu Antropológico Caldas Junior preserves the cultural heritage of Mostardas, one of the oldest municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul. It is housed in a Luso-Açorian-style building dating from around 1820, with the adjacent Jardim do Imperador garden featuring native trees of the region. The museum hosts permanent exhibits about local history, the Cavalhadas, retired civil servants and former presidents and directors of the institution, alongside virtual exhibitions and rotating cultural programming.
