Archaeological Museum of Olympia

The Archaeological Museum of Olympia exhibits some of the most significant ancient works of art in the world, telling the long history of the sanctuary of Zeus and the Olympic Games. Highlights include the Hermes of Praxiteles, the Nike of Paionios and material associated with the Gold and Ivory Statue of Zeus. The museum stands within the broader Archaeological Site of Olympia at the foot of Mount Kronios in the western Peloponnese.
