Centro de Arqueologia Annette Laming Emperaire

The Centro de Arqueologia Annette Laming Emperaire (CAALE), founded in 1983 in Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais, develops protective policies for regional archaeological heritage. It houses the Reserva Técnica Professor Heinz Charles Kohler with excavated materials from regional research, and offers permanent and traveling exhibitions on regional prehistory, including connections to the discovery of "Luzia," Brazil's oldest human skull.
