MUF - Museu de Favela

The Museu de Favela (MUF) is the world's first territorial and living museum dedicated to the memories and cultural heritage of a favela, established in 2008 by community cultural leaders in Rio de Janeiro. Situated in the Maciço do Cantagalo between Ipanema, Copacabana, and Lagoa, it covers 12 hectares with over 5,300 buildings connected by becos and staircases.
