Alberta Railway Museum

Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the Alberta Railway Museum (ARM) houses a collection of railway equipment and buildings. Our main emphasis is on cars and locomotives from the Canadian National Railways (CNR) and Northern Alberta Railways (NAR). more than 65 cars and locomotives are on display: the original St. Albert Station, the Gibbons Water tank and two smaller stations are on the grounds. Artifact displays are located in the station and in several railway cars on the grounds. Interpretive discovery centres feature the history of the NAR, diesel and steam locomotive technology and a Mail-Express car.

Tours are offered during the season. Groups such as day care, community service organizations, seniors and railway enthusiasts are given an insight into the impact that the railway had on settlement and transportation since the railway arrived in the early 1900s.
