The Fort Museum of the Northwest Mounted Police is a tourist attraction built in Fort Macleod, AB to celebrate the rich history of the region and to replicate the feel of the very first NWMP Fort built on an island near the present town site. Enjoy exhibits curated from over 8,000 artifacts telling the stories of the First Nations people, the early history of the Northwest Mounted Police, and the settlement of the region. The Fort Museum's feature attraction is the NWMP Musical Ride, performed four times daily from July 1 to end of August, continuing a tradition of riding demonstrations dating back to 1876 in Fort Macleod.
