Heritage Park is Fort McMurray's own little museum village locked in time. Come experience the stories of fearless bush pilots like Wop May and the "Mad Trapper" as you stroll through history. Historic buildings and artifacts showcase our community's unique heritage. Explore the early 1900s trapper's cabin and Catholic Mission and Walter Hill's family home and Hill Drugs store from the 1930s.
Then head to Marine Park Museum where Steel meets Keel. Learn about transportation heritage from rivers to railways. See the mechanics of the Dredge 250 and imagine cooking in the galley. The goal of the FMHS is to educate the public by providing access to the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo’s (RMWB) treasured artifacts, archives, and photographs.
