John Walter Museum

The John Walter Museum tells the story of pioneer John Walter and the Walterdale community of Strathcona from 1870 to 1942. The museum includes three of the Walter family's original homes — an 1875 house (one of the first built outside Fort Edmonton), an 1886 house, and a fully renovated 1901 house — set within Edmonton's River Valley. Visitors can explore the houses, learn pioneer skills, and join seasonal events and school programmes.
