Lac Cardinal Regional Pioneer Village Museum
Lac Cardinal Regional Pioneer Village Museum is a visitor-friendly replica of what a town in Alberta's northwest might have looked like between the 1920s and 1940s. Located just west of Grimshaw, next to Lac Cardinal and Queen Elizabeth Provincial Park, it includes a community hall, the original Municipal District of Peace office, two fully-furnished log homes, a church, UFA petroleum and grain office, and the Hasell School with teacherage. Visitors will also find a reproduction bakery, blacksmith shop, train station, carpentry shop, fire hall, and general store. The farmyard features a one-bedroom cabin, log barn, chicken coop, well-house, and pole sheds housing a collection of tractors and threshing equipment.
