Built in 1891 for James and Isabella Lougheed and their growing family, Lougheed House is now a National and Provincial Historic Site and Museum located on its original 2.8 acres in the Beltline of Calgary.Lougheed House is operated by Lougheed House Conservation Society, an independent, non-profit society, devoted to the restoration and public enjoyment of the historic house and its gardens. We invite you to visit Lougheed House to take a historic tour of the building and gardens, view the exhibits, enjoy lunch or brunch in the Restaurant, and to find the perfect gift in the Museum Shop. We also run a variety of School programs, and the house is available to hire for private events such as weddings and Christmas parties.
