Craigdarroch Castle
Craigdarroch Castle is a National Historic Site in Victoria, British Columbia, built in the 1880s as the family home of coal baron Robert Dunsmuir, one of the wealthiest men in Canada at the time. The Scottish Baronial-style mansion is renowned for its elaborate woodwork, stained glass windows, and period furnishings, and tells the story of the Dunsmuir family alongside the social history of late-Victorian Vancouver Island. Operated as a museum by the Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen people.
