Ross House is a log cabin of post and sill construction and was the first post office in Western Canada. It was built in 1854 and features artifacts that illustrate the lives and experiences of Manitoba's Red River Settlement and the Métis community. The park around the museum contains monuments and markers relevant to the early history of Manitoba and pioneers from Point Douglas.
