Satterthwaite Log Cabin

The Satterthwaite is a reproduction log cabin on the original site where it was a "stopping house" on the Burrows Trail. It contains some artifacts and actual tools used in the cabin construction.

The museum in town is housed in the 1912 railway station. Visitors can view the stationmaster's kitchen, office and train waiting room. The upper level has a sports room, military display and artifacts which represent the many small communities in our area. The one-room schoolhouse on the grounds is complete with desks, books and a teacher mannequin.
