Grants Old Mill

Grant's Old Mill is a working replica of the first water mill in Western Canada, originally operated on Sturgeon Creek by Métis leader Cuthbert James Grant between 1829 and around 1832. The replica was built in 1974–1975 in the St. James area of Winnipeg. The mill closed in April 2025 due to structural issues, and a rebuild and reopening is planned for 2029–2030.
