Hudson's Bay Company Archives, Archives of Manitoba
The Hudson's Bay Company Archives, held by the Archives of Manitoba in Winnipeg, constitute one of the most extensive and significant archival collections in North America. Dating from 1670, the archives document the history of the Hudson's Bay Company and its role in the exploration, fur trade, and settlement of Canada. The collection is recognised as a UNESCO Memory of the World. This is an archival research facility, not a general-public museum.
