The Ecomuseo della Valle delle Orchidee in Sassano, Italy is composed of three sections: an indoor archive with botanical research materials and specimen collections, a traveling collection of fresh and dried plant biodiversity samples, and a 47-square-kilometer living territory encompassing the Valle delle Orchidee and cultivation fields managed by a network of custodian cultivators.
