Loyalist House (New Brunswick Historical Society)

Loyalist House is one of Canada's best-preserved examples of Loyalist-era Georgian architecture, built between 1810 and 1817 in Saint John, New Brunswick. Operated by the New Brunswick Historical Society, the house preserves the original furnishings and collections of the Merritt family, descendants of United Empire Loyalists who fled the American Revolution. Guided tours lead visitors through rooms that reflect life in early 19th-century Saint John, one of Canada's oldest cities, offering a rare window into the domestic world of the founding families of English Canada.
