Giardini La Mortella is a renowned Mediterranean and subtropical garden on the island of Ischia, created by Susana Walton, the Argentine wife of British composer Sir William Walton. Designed in collaboration with landscape architect Russell Page, the garden features valley and hillside sections, Victoria House, an aloe garden, a Greek Theatre, the Sun Temple, a nymphaeum and exotic plants such as the Liriodendron and Spathodea. Operated by the Fondazione William Walton, it hosts musical events and a youth orchestra festival.
