Ecomusée de l'Avesnois

The Écomusée de l'Avesnois is a society museum housed in the former Prouvost-Masurel spinning mill in Fourmies and the former Parant glassworks in Trélon. Its collections span textile, glass, automotive, intangible, ethnographic and photographic heritage — including the Fonds Patrons & Motifs and the Fonds Joseph Michalik. The ecomuseum runs permanent and temporary exhibitions, a documentation centre on industrial heritage ("Empreintes Industrielles"), the on-site café "La Pointeuse", an associated botanical garden, and education programmes for schools, students and adult groups.
