Le Beffroi - musée Boucher de Perthes - Manessier

The Musée Boucher de Perthes in Abbeville, Hauts-de-France, is named after Jacques Boucher de Perthes, the pioneering archaeologist who established the antiquity of humankind through discoveries in the Somme Valley. The museum's rich collections span prehistoric archaeology, fine arts from the 15th to 18th centuries, regional painting schools, natural history (including a remarkable 19th-century bird collection), and ethnographic artefacts from around the world. The museum is housed in the historic Beffroi complex in central Abbeville.
