Le musée du Masque de fer et du Fort Royal

Located on Sainte-Marguerite Island in the Lérins archipelago off Cannes, France, this museum occupies the oldest part of Fort Royal, a Vauban-type fortress. It features the former state prisons including the famous cell of the Iron Mask prisoner, a Huguenot memorial, Roman underwater archaeology displays, and contemporary murals by artist Jean Le Gac.
