Castle of Good Hope

The Castle of Good Hope is the oldest existing colonial building in South Africa, constructed between 1666–1679 by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) in Cape Town. Today it serves as a military museum and heritage site, housing exhibitions on its history as a fort, prison, and seat of colonial administration, alongside ceremonial and cultural facilities.
