Ivatsevichy Historic and Regional Studies Museum
Greetings, visitor!The Regional Museum of Local Lore was established in 1993 on the basis of the public museum named after him. Kolya Goishik with the exhibition "Nikolai Goishik – young war hero" (exhibition area 24 m2). The exposition operated from 1967 to 2007. There is no exhibition at the moment. From 2007 to 2008, the museum was temporarily located in the GDK building. Since January 2009, the Museum of Local Lore has been located at 7 Pochtovaya Street. In 2016, the Museum of Local Lore was renamed the Ivatsevichi Museum of Local Lore (based on the Charter). A memorial plaque to the famous countryman, Lieutenant General, Hero of the Soviet Union Multan N.N. is installed on the museum building. The acquisition of the museum fund began in 1996. Until 2011, museum funds were replenished solely by transfers from residents of the city and district during expeditions to collect objects of museum significance. As of 2025, the main fund of the museum includes 6,677 items of storage. The memorial complex of partisan glory "Khovanshchina" is a branch of the museum. It is located in the Khovanshchina forest tract near the village of Korochin, Ivatsevichi district. It was established in 1971, and in August 1998 it was transferred by the Brest Regional Museum of Local Lore to the Department of Culture of the Ivatsevichi District Executive Committee as a branch of the Ivatsevichi Museum of Local Lore. In 1943-44, the headquarters of the Brest regional partisan unit, the regional committee of the LKSMB, the editorial office and the printing house of the newspaper «Zarya» were based here
