Balmoral Grist Mill Museum
Balmoral Grist Mill is a working three-storey grist mill tucked in a wooded gorge on Matheson's Brook in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. Opened by Alexander McKay in 1874, it demonstrates how grain is ground, sifted and turned into flour. Visitors can picnic on the shady grounds, watch water tumble over the dam, and ramble along the Christine MacDonald Walking Trail. The site is operated as part of the Nova Scotia Museum family.
