Basilica Museum
The Basilica Museum and Mullock Library is housed in the former residence of the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The original residence was built by Bishop Mullock in 1856 and, after a 1921 fire, was rebuilt in 1924 by Archbishop E.P. Roche in a Beaux-Arts design by the New York firm Delano and Aldrich, using bluestone quarried from Signal Hill. The site preserves the archdiocesan history, library collection, and heritage of the Basilica of St. John the Baptist complex.
