Beaton Institute/Cape Breton University

The Beaton Institute, the regional archives of Cape Breton University, preserves the history and culture of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Its holdings include manuscripts, photographs, oral histories, sound recordings and films documenting the island's communities, industries and Gaelic, Mi'kmaq and Acadian heritage. The wheelchair-accessible reading room is open weekdays for research, with parking available on campus.
