Fort Whoop-Up - Galt Museum & Archives

Fort Whoop-Up, operated by the Galt Museum & Archives in Lethbridge, Alberta, is a modern-day replica of the original Fort Whoop-Up — a 19th-century whisky trading post that played a notorious role in the events leading to the formation of the North-West Mounted Police. The site interprets the cultural and economic encounters of Indigenous peoples, traders, and settlers.
