Bank of Montreal Museum

The Musée de la Banque de Montréal (Bank of Montreal Museum) is housed in a monumental 1847 building at the corner of Place d'Armes in Old Montreal, featuring Roman-inspired architecture and lavishly redesigned interiors from 1905. As Canada's oldest bank, founded in 1817, the museum traces the institution's history and its role in shaping Canadian commerce and society. The museum is open Monday to Friday and is free to visit.
