Gubelin Museum
The Gübelin Gem Museum (Edelsteinmuseum Gübelin) in Lucerne, Switzerland, invites visitors on a journey through the world of gemstones, exploring their formation, dazzling colours and origins. The museum highlights the pioneering work of Eduard Josef Gübelin (1913–2005), who laid the foundations of modern gemmology, alongside the innovations of the Gübelin Gem Lab and the groundbreaking Provenance Proof technology — the first blockchain for coloured gemstones, bringing transparency to the gem and jewellery industry. Founded as a house in 1854, Gübelin opened its dedicated gem museum in 2023.
