Historic Fort Taiaroa

The Royal Albatross Centre at Fort Taiaroa is home to the world's only mainland albatross colony, located on the Otago Peninsula near Dunedin, New Zealand. Operated by the Otago Peninsula Trust, the centre offers wildlife tours including guided visits to the historic Fort Taiaroa, built in the late 1880s, which features the world's only fully restored Armstrong Disappearing Gun.
