Hikurangi Historical Museum

Hikurangi Historical Museum is a community museum located within a precinct of historic buildings in Hikurangi, Northland, New Zealand, including the original Courthouse, Jail, and Council building. The collection highlights Hikurangi's early industries — particularly coal mining, which contributed two-thirds of Northland's total coal production — alongside social, environmental, Māori, and wider cultural histories of the region. Exhibits include photographs, objects, tools, clothing, newspaper articles, and personal stories.
