National Historical Museum

The National Historical Museum (Muzeu Historik Kombëtar) is the most important museum institution in Albania. Inaugurated on 28 October 1981, the museum spans 27,000 m² with 18,000 m² of exhibition space housing approximately 6,200 objects across seven pavilions covering Albanian history from the 4th millennium BC through the mid-20th century. Pavilions include Antiquity (585 objects), Medieval period (217 objects), Iconography (90 objects), National Renaissance (230 objects), and Independence (142 objects).
