Ervand Kochar Museum

The Yervand Kochar Museum in Yerevan was founded in 1984 in the studio of Armenian-French artist Yervand Kochar (1899–1979), the founder of "spatial painting" (peinture dans l'espace) and a key figure of the European avant-garde during his Paris period (1923–1936). The museum offers the most complete picture of Kochar's work, spanning his painting and sculpture, complemented by educational programmes and online events.
