Komitas Museum-Institute

The Komitas Museum-Institute in Yerevan, Armenia, is dedicated to the life and work of Komitas Vardapet (Soghomon Soghomonian), the priest, composer, musicologist, folksong collector, choirmaster and singer regarded as the founder of modern Armenian music. The institute combines a permanent and temporary exhibition with scientific research, educational programmes and a Komitas conference-festival.
