Nibutani Ainu Culture Museum

The exhibits at this museum are utilized to study the culture of Ainu (indigenous people of Japan), especially of those who lived around Saru River. The museum has Ainu crafts designated as important tangible folk cultural properties as well as many audio/visual materials and books. Also, outside near the museum are the restored chise (Ainu house) villages, which are designated as important cultural landscapes.
