Museo Ana Frank
Centro Ana Frank's museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is the only Anne Frank museum in Latin America. Installed in a historic house in the Coghlan neighbourhood, the museum offers interactive guided visits led by a volunteer team of young guides. The experience weaves together three themes: the life and legacy of Anne Frank as testimony to the Holocaust perpetrated by the Nazi regime; parallels with Argentina's last civic-military dictatorship and its lessons for the country's recent past; and stories of diversity for inclusion and coexistence today. The centrepiece is a full scenic recreation of the Secret Annex — the hidden rooms where Anne Frank and seven others sheltered for over two years — the only such recreation in Latin America. A virtual museum, travelling exhibitions across the region, a theatre, literary competitions and youth education programmes complete the centre's offer.
