Museo de la Inmigración

The Museo de la Inmigración, part of UNTREF's museum network, is housed in the historic former Hotel de Inmigrantes building at Avenida Antártida Argentina in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires. Built at the turn of the twentieth century to receive and process the millions of immigrants who arrived in Argentina, the building is itself a monument to this transformative chapter of national history. The museum's permanent collection and temporary exhibitions explore the experiences, cultures, and contributions of the diverse immigrant communities who shaped Argentina — Italians, Spaniards, Eastern Europeans, Middle Easterners, and many others. Guided tours are available on weekends and public holidays. The museum offers extensive virtual exhibition resources and publishes research on immigration history.
