The Miyagi Museum of Art

The Miyagi Museum of Art collects Japanese paintings, oil paintings, prints, sculputures and artistic handicrafts from the Meiji Period(1868-1912)to the present, some of which have a connection with Miyagi Prefecture and the Tohoku region. The Museum also collects Western art including works by Kandinsky and Klee.

The Museum also holds workshops which are open to anyone who wants to draw, print, do pottery, sculpt and so on. There are machines and equipment for working with wood, metal and clay. Staff members of the Museum are available to provide assistance.
